To ensure the best possible results for our customers, remap servicing should not and will not be performed on a vehicle which is faulty or in poor condition. Before arranging an appointment, customers will be asked to confirm that their car is at the appropriate level of health and maintenance to receive our services. Please bear in mind that — although Kustom Remaps is able to provide an optional diagnostic service at an additional cost — the scope of our service does not include the work of a mechanic. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that the information provided to our team is accurate.
Kustom Remaps will consider a vehicle at the suitable level for remapping if it has been maintained through regular servicing using genuine parts and it has had its cambelt/water pump changed and its gearbox service oil changed. Having verbally confirmed with the customer that the car is able to receive remap servicing, an appointment time will be agreed upon, and a non-refundable £50 deposit will be taken as firm confirmation for this specific time slot. This can be paid via our secure website or using Paypal.
During the appointment, the customer will first be expected to take their car for a test drive to confirm its current condition. A visual inspection of the vehicle, including under the bonnet, will then be performed by the Kustom Remaps team member. A full vehicle health check will be carried out using a professional diagnostic tool, The tool will also be used to evaluate and record the condition of the vehicle. These steps determine whether the vehicle is an appropriate subject for remap servicing.
If the customer’s vehicle does not pass this health check, Kustoms Remaps retains the right to refuse service. Once the vehicle has successfully passed the health check, Kustoms Remaps can proceed with the remapping service.
Once remapping has been completed, the customer will once again be asked to test drive their vehicle, to see if they are happy with the service. A second health check will be undertaken using the diagnostic tool, and the customer can request to receive copies of both reports either physically or virtually for their own records. At this point, the impact of the remapping service should be evident to the customer, and this is when they will be expected to pay the outstanding balance for the service.
